Art
No rules, no timer, nothing to match. Pick your colors, fill the canvas, change your mind as often as you like. Bold and simple or intricate and layered, what's there when you stop is the piece.
Shard · by Pigment Lab
Shard gives you a canvas of triangles and a full set of paints. Which colors, where they go and how far you take it are all up to you.
Keep it simple and unwind for ten minutes, or build a large canvas into something nobody else could have made. When you want a challenge instead, the same canvas becomes a puzzle, and Shardoku will test you properly.

There's no picture to fill in and no outline to stay inside. Shard starts with triangles, and every choice after that is yours: which colors sit together, where the bright ones go, when it's finished.
A few colors and a small canvas make a calm, easy few minutes. Take it further with bigger canvases, more colors and finishes like glass, metal and neon, and you can make something that looks like nothing else.
The puzzles came from the same canvas. A mesh of triangles is a map, and coloring it so that no two neighbors match is a real problem with real rules. Shardoku followed: Sudoku, played in color.
One canvas, three ways to use it, and you choose how relaxed or how demanding it gets.
Three ways to play
No rules, no timer, nothing to match. Pick your colors, fill the canvas, change your mind as often as you like. Bold and simple or intricate and layered, what's there when you stop is the piece.
Shards that touch can't share a color. Easy and Medium give you four colors; Hard gives you three, which makes it a much tighter problem. For a bonus, paint mostly in two colors and keep the rest at or under the target.
Sudoku in color. Every row, column and box holds each color once. Boards use 4 colors on Small, 6 on Medium and 9 on Large, each at three difficulties.
Every Art and Puzzle canvas is generated fresh, so no two are the same. Shardoku boards are prepared and checked in advance, because a Sudoku is only worth solving when it has exactly one answer.
How to play →A small canvas for a few spare minutes, or a large one to spend an evening on.
Fewer colors on a bigger board makes a hard problem. Easy is a gentle start, and Hard is built for players who want a real challenge.
Every finished piece earns points, in every mode. Points raise your level, and levels unlock new palettes.
Hints are optional in both puzzle modes. Shardoku's color help can be switched off entirely, and color symbols are there for anyone who wants them.
Palettes
Start free with flat color in Studio and stained glass in Kaleidoscope. More palettes unlock as you level up, and Premium adds more finishes in glass, metal, opal, water and neon. In Art, each shard catches the light a little differently.
